The UIL girls soccer season begins today. Here’s a column on Plano West, which is trying to win a third straight title in 5A, and here are some players and teams to watch.
Not surprisingly, the Dallas area is well-represented in the state preseason rankings.
In 5A, Plano West and Southlake Carroll are 1-2 and Flower Mound Marcus is 8th and Hebron is 9th. In 4A, six of the top 10 are from North Texas. Denton Guyer, Highland Park and Frisco Wakeland are in the top three spots, Trophy Club Byron Nelson is 6th, Birdville is 7th and Wylie East is 10th.
