ON THE EVE Following a late 2012 debut by
Spacegrove Productions and Nouveau 47, the new musical by Seth and Shawn
Magill (music) and Michael Federico (book) arrives for a new production
at Theatre Three, directed by Jeffrey Schmidt. Dallas Morning News
critic Lawson Taitte called the 2012 version “one of the most exciting
and exhilarating theatrical events of the year.” The “almost entirely
true” story tells of Marie Antoinette and the first time-traveling
hot-air balloon, moving from pre-revolutionary France to a bureaucratic,
totalitarian future. Yowza.

A GALA NIGHT WITH DAVID GARRETT The German
violinist, known for his fusions of rock and pop with symphonic or

Winspear Opera House. He studied at Juilliard, supplementing his income
by working as a model, and at the tender age of 32 has recorded 16
albums and received a Stradivarius-load of awards.

COLIN QUINN The Saturday Night Live veteran
funnyman brings his Unconstitutional tour to town. He takes on 226
years of American history in 70 minutes, starting with the preamble to
the U.S. Constitution and going through the various amendments. He’s
“like the best teacher you’ve ever had, only a heck of a lot funnier,”
says a press release.

BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY
This bio-theatrical piece tells the story of the three years in which
the native Texan rocker became the world’s top recording artist. The
show features more than 20 of his hits including “Peggy Sue,” “That’ll
Be the Day” and “Not Fade Away,” and Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper
also make appearances. The Boston Globe said the show “sends people out of the theater on an unstoppable high.”
